Alicia is a graduate from the University of MN with a BA in African American Studies. She has been volunteering and working with elementary and high school students in the Twin Cities for seven years. Alicia gained grassroots organizing experience volunteering in the community getting young people interested and involved in electoral politics with The League of Pissed Off Voters.
Alicia is most proud of recently working at the Young Womens Mentoring Program, a mentoring program for local young women of color. She wants to be an advocate and build confidence in brown girls so they recognize their potential as leaders in and out of their direct communities.
