Kurstonis the Deputy Director for the Roosevelt Institute Campus Network. Hisinvolvement with Roosevelt began as a studentat the University Michigan when he assumed a leadership position running“Roosevelt Relief”—a post Katrina New Orleans redevelopment project.  Kurston graduated from the University of Michiganwith a degree in Political Science and History; and was awarded Public Policyand International Affairs Fellowship from the Heinz School of Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.Kurstonhas extensive political organizing experience; having worked for the NARAL, theDemocratic National Committee, and numerous candidate campaigns within the states of Michigan, Washington,and California.After graduation Kurston joined the Rooseveltnational staff and the National Field Director. Within this position he wasresponsible for campus organizing and policy implementation programs across thecountry. After a year as Field Director Kurston was promptly promoted to DeputyDirector
