Laura Ross continues to split her wild side between Minnesota and South Dakota and is utterly jazzed to be helping out on some exciting new project work at the Native American Women's Health Education Resource Center in Lake Andes, SD (Ihanktonwan Nation), including reproductive justice goals for the Indigenous Women's Reproductive Watch, and will again be legislative liason for the Indigenous Women's Political Caucus at the SD legislative session.
The 2010 election cycle left her feeling very full after helping out at TakeAction Minnesota and Native Vote Alliance with the Native Vote Project. Laura was lobbyist for the SD Coalition Against Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault during the 2008 session and survived. In 2006, Laura founded WomenRun!SD, a state-only PAC to give progressive women running for office a leg-up. She has a big thing for political research/analysis/writing, and has assisted numerous writers/columnists including Laura Flanders and Bill Berkowitz.
Three grandkids fill her heart every day , just slightly more than do her peeps at Wellstone Action.
