The Wellstone Organizing Fellows Program is an in-depth leadership and civic engagement training program for emerging leaders from communities of color. Launched in 2006 and offered biannually, this program identifies new leaders and invests in them with training, ongoing support and mentoring.

The 2010 Fellows Program completed an intensive one-week leadership training in grassroots organizing, focusing on leadership, advocacy, nonpartisan electoral mobilization, and voter engagement skills. Fellows then spend three months working in community-based organizations, where their practical experiences extend their new skills. Fellows will then be part of an ongoing cohort to continue their personal skill building and to support each other through the 2010 election cycle.

The Wellstone Fellows program is a joint project of Wellstone Action Fund and the Minnesota Civic Engagement Table (CET), a nonpartisan coalition of nonprofits working together to build power in underrepresented communities by increasing participation in advocacy and voting.
